International Journal of Electronic Business, 2003This paper aims to examine the use and implementation of electronic procurement for indirect material in eight large global companies, and investigate what kinds of barriers exist towards electronic procurement. The empirical evidence comes from interviews with e-procurement experts and operatives in eight global firms.

In this chapter the authors develop a framework to allow them to facilitate further development of e-government services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It is inspired in the idea that benefits for SMEs can be derived if we consider more fully e-government services as sources of SME knowledge.
