Selective Degradation of Polyurethanes in Mixed Plastic Wastes via Ir‐Catalyzed Hydrogenolysis

The selective degradation of polyurethanes in mixed plastic wastes with polyesters and polyamides was achieved using H2 as a reactant, enabling simultaneous recovery of diformamides and polyols arising from polyurethanes and separation of polyesters and polyamides without any degradation.

Ketal Protection of Glycerol for Selective Electrosynthesis of Glyceric Acid in Highly Alkaline Media

Using a ketal‐protected glycerol derivative (solketal) as the oxidation substrate enables site‐selective electrooxidation that suppresses C–C cleavage on non‐noble catalysts. Acetylene Semi‐Hydrogenation by Photocatalysis

Photocatalytic acetylene semi‐hydrogenation is an emerging light‐driven route to polymer‐grade ethylene, offering a mild alternative to energy‐intensive thermocatalysis. By replacing H2 co‐feed with water or other proton sources, these systems can achieve high selectivity under ambient conditions.
