Leaf water relations of Eucalyptus globulus ssp. globulus and E. nitens: seasonal, drought and species effects [PDF]

open access: yesTree Physiology, 1996
In August 1990, a 2-ha plantation was established in an area where rainfall (about 515 mm year(-1)) was insufficient to meet evaporative demand. On nine occasions between September 1991 and April 1993, pressure-volume curves were constructed for irrigated and rainfed Eucalyptus globulus ssp. globulus Labill. and E.

Archipelagic Habitat Use by the Black Wood Pigeon

open access: yesEcological Research, Volume 41, Issue 2, March 2026.
Satellite tracking of Black Wood Pigeons in the Izu Islands (2022–2025) revealed frequent interisland movements, with flights ranging from 4 to 170 km. Many individuals dispersed among islands after breeding and returned the following spring, indicating partial migratory or nomadic behavior at the archipelagic scale.

Exploring the Chemical Fingerprint and In Vitro Biocompatibility of Wild‐Growing and Ex Situ Cultivated Stachys cretica subsp. cretica in the Same Region (Crete, Greece)

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 1, January 2026.
Methanol extracts and infusions of wild and cultivated Stachys cretica subsp. cretica share similar profiles. ABSTRACT The genus Stachys (Lamiaceae) comprises numerous species recognized for their ethnopharmacological importance and rich chemical profiles. In this study, we investigated the chemical composition and biocompatibility of both wild‐growing
