The expressway network design problem for multiple urban subregions based on the macroscopic fundamental diagram

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Volume 40, Issue 14, Page 2032-2049, 3 June 2025.
Abstract With the advancement of urbanization, cities are constructing expressways to meet complex travel demands. However, traditional link‐based road network design methods face challenges in addressing large‐scale expressway network design problems.

Do Participants’ Preferences for Mode of Delivery (Text, Video, or Both) Influence the Effectiveness of a Web-Based Physical Activity Intervention?

open access: yesJournal of Medical Internet Research, 2012
BackgroundIn randomized controlled trials, participants cannot choose their preferred intervention delivery mode and thus might refuse to participate or not engage fully if assigned to a nonpreferred group. This might underestimate the true effectiveness

Infinite Families of Gauge-Equivalent $R$-Matrices and Gradations of Quantized Affine Algebras

open access: yes, 1994
Associated with the fundamental representation of a quantum algebra such as $U_q(A_1)$ or $U_q(A_2)$, there exist infinitely many gauge-equivalent $R$-matrices with different spectral-parameter dependences.

Joint Wire Cutting with Non‐Maximally Entangled States

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2025.
Wire cutting decomposes large quantum circuits into smaller subcircuits by severing connecting wires, enabling execution on multiple distributed devices. This study employs non‐maximally entangled (NME) states in joint wire cuts to reduce their overhead.

Morphometric Characterization of Oreochromis Species Habitating in Jipe Lake, Kenya

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 5, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Lake Jipe, a shared resource at the Kenya‐Tanzania border, has experienced significant fish introductions impacting its fish diversity. Despite these changes, the variations in morphometric characters of fish in the lake have not been documented following the establishment of non‐native Oreochromis species.

Large Eddy Simulation of Shallow Cumulus Clouds in the Southern Great Plains With an Interactive Land Surface Model

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 17, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract Shallow cumulus clouds are ubiquitous over continental land masses in summertime. They impart complex patterns of solar heating on the surface below. These patterns are dominated by cloud shadows, which drive spatial variability in the surface latent and sensible heat fluxes via the surface energy balance.
