Modeling the 2010 blast wave of the symbiotic-like nova V407 Cygni
(Abridged) The symbiotic-like binary Mira and nova V407 Cyg was observed in outburst on March 2010 and monitored in several wavelength bands. Here we report on multi-dimensional hydrodynamic simulations describing the 2010 outburst of V407 Cyg, exploring

Gag Gifting: The Joke and the Poke
ABSTRACT Gag gifting is a ritual involving a gift along with a joke at the expense of the recipient (i.e., a “poke”). This study shows that gag gifting occurs frequently, at various occasions. Findings from a qualitative study illustrate the way gag gifts are purchased or handmade into unique or personalized items.

Ten Years Later: Lessons for DSGE Builders and Czech Policy Makers
We show an example of a small open economy – the Czech Republic – where the fiscal restriction was put in place between 2010 and 2013 in a negative output gap and zero lower bound on nominal interest rates.

Miyashita Action in Strongly Groupoid Graded Rings [PDF]
We determine the commutant of homogeneous subrings in strongly groupoid graded rings in terms of an action on the ring induced by the grading. Thereby we generalize a classical result of Miyashita from the group graded case to the groupoid graded ...

Improving the solubility of single domain antibodies using VH‐like hallmark residues
Abstract Single domain antibodies (sdAbs) can be generated from variable regions of heavy‐chain antibodies, which lack light chain and CH1 region. They have attracted attention due to their small size and molecular characteristics. Hydrophilic hallmark amino acids at framework region 2 (FR2) are key residues involved in the solubility of sdAbs ...

Perceptual discrimination of complex objects: Apolipoprotein E e4 gene‐dose effects in mid‐life
Abstract INTRODUCTION Complex perceptual discrimination is supported by tau‐vulnerable regions of the medial temporal lobe (MTL); notably the perirhinal cortex. This research tests whether there is a gene‐dose effect of apolipoprotein E (APOE) e4 on perceptual discrimination in mid‐life.

For an O(N) symmetric scalar field theory with Euclidean action integral d^3x [1/2 |nabla phi|^2 + 1/2 r phi^2 + 1/4! u phi^4], where phi = (phi_1,...,phi_N) is a vector of N real field components, variational perturbation theory through seven loops is ...

Multi-parametric R-matrix for the sl(2|1) Yangian
We study the Yangian of the sl(2|1) Lie superalgebra in a multi-parametric four-dimensional representation. We use Drinfeld's second realization to independently rederive the R-matrix, and to obtain the antiparticle representation, the crossing and the ...
