Abstract The 63F early puff in the larval salivary gland polytene chromosomes contains the divergently transcribed E63-1 and E63-2 ecdysone-inducible genes. E63-1 encodes a member of the EF-hand family of Ca2+-binding proteins, while E63-2 has no apparent open reading frame.

Abstract Background Differences in Frontal Alpha Asymmetry (FAA), derived from the electroencephalogram (EEG), have been associated with approach‐withdrawal behavior, although inconsistently. The current study examined how early patterns of FAA during the first 2 years of life relate to various socioemotional characteristics (at 2 years) and ultimately

An Artificial Metal‐Free Peroxidase Designed Using a Ferritin Cage for Bioinspired Catalysis
Designing artificial enzymes remains challenging due to the need for precise active site control. Here, we present a simple strategy to create metal‐free artificial enzymes by engineering Histidine clusters inside a ferritin cage. The resulting catalyst mimics peroxidase activity, and its stable cage structure offers new insights into supramolecular ...
