The utilization of waste‐based, thermal energy‐storing building materials in construction may help reduce the environmental impact of human activities. However, most studies on phase change materials (PCM) tend to concentrate on the basic properties of these materials, and thus fail to provide a comprehensive perspective on sustainability.

Promotion of Circular Economy: Steelwork Dusts as Secondary Raw Material in Conventional Mortars
Among the actions proposed by the European Union for the implementation of Circular Economy is the use of waste as a secondary raw material (SRM). During the fusion of the scrap, a steel dust is generated, named Electric Arc Furnace Dust (EAFD). The EAFD

We analysed the fine scale biomass patterns of sheep‐grazed sand pastures along increasing grazing intensity. Along the grazing intensity gradient, we found an increasing trend for species richness and the biomass of short‐lived forbs; while green biomass, litter and graminoid biomass showed a decreasing trend.

Abstract Global warming, elevated atmospheric CO2 concentrations and increased likeliness of extreme drought and wildfires in many regions will likely favour C4 grass species. To support future management actions, we explored the effect of the encroachment of an invasive perennial C4 grass, Sporobolus cryptandrus on the composition of soil seed banks ...
