JAK Inhibitors in Psoriatic–Atopic Dermatitis Overlap: A Four‑Case Series
ABSTRACT Overlap between psoriasis and atopic dermatitis (AD) poses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges; monoclonal antibodies targeting a single axis may improve one component while worsening the other [1]. Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors act pleiotropically and may provide simultaneous control of psoriatic and eczematous inflammation [2].

Mouse Hoxa2 mutations provide a model for microtia and auricle duplication.
External ear abnormalities are frequent in newborns ranging from microtia to partial auricle duplication. Little is known about the molecular mechanisms orchestrating external ear morphogenesis.

Endoscopic‐Assisted Transcervical Excision of Second Branchial Cleft Anomalies in Young Children
We describe an endoscopic‐assisted transcervical technique for excision of second branchial cleft anomalies in young children. In three cases (ages 2–8), this approach allowed safe identification and ligation of the tracts while providing improved visualization and allowing smaller incisions.

On guided model-based analysis for ear biometrics
Ears are a new biometric with major advantage in that they appear to maintain their structure with increasing age. Current approaches have exploited 2D and 3D images of the ear in human identification.

Otologic Surgery Risk Prediction: Risk Analysis Index‐Administrative Versus Modified Frailty Index‐5
In a national cohort of 2862 patients undergoing otologic surgery, the risk analysis index‐administrative (RAI‐A) outperformed the modified frailty index‐5 (mFI‐5) in predicting key 30‐day postoperative outcomes, including mortality, complications, surgical site infection, extended length of stay, and nonhome discharge.

Comparative Study of Tympanic Membrane Regeneration Therapy for Chronic Otitis Media
This study compared tympanic membrane regeneration therapy (TMRT) with conventional tympanoplasty (CTP) for the treatment of chronic suppurative perforated otitis media (COM). TMRT has many advantages over CTP as a surgical treatment for COM. In particular, significant differences were observed in operative time, hearing improvement, and patient ...

Ear Piercing Complications: Comparing Cartilage and Soft Tissue Piercings in a Large Survey Cohort
Cartilage ear piercings were associated with significantly higher complication rates than lobule piercings and remained an independent predictor of complications after multivariate analysis. Cartilage site also independently predicted piercing removal, with higher removal rates observed compared to lobule piercings.

Autologous Mastoid Cortex Bone Graft for Multilayer Repair of Lateral Skull Base Defects
Multilayer repair of lateral skull base cerebrospinal fluid leaks and encephaloceles can be reinforced with rigid autologous grafts. Harvesting a monocortical mastoid cortex bone graft is effective and easy to implement without conferring additional morbidity.
