ABSTRACT Background Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen in cystic fibrosis‐related chronic rhinosinusitis (CF‐CRS) that produces phenazine metabolites pyocyanin and 1‐hydroxyphenazine (1‐HP), which may have detrimental effects on mitochondria, reactive oxygen species (ROS), Ca2+ signaling, and apoptosis.

A novel carcinogenic mouse model by site‐directed insertion of tandem human HRAS large DNA fragment into 15E1 site

The NF‐hHRAS mouse model was generated through Chr15 E1 locus‐targeted integration of a 21 kb multicopy HRAS gene cluster. The NF‐hHRAS model demostrated tissue‐specific expression of human HRAS across multiple organs and low spontaneous tumorigenesis.

Dermoid cysts of the head and neck are rare congenital benign tumors. According to the literature they represent about seven percent of all dermoids and less than one percent of all intracranial neoplasms. Extradural dermoid cysts are very rare.
