Is earliness really next to Godliness? [PDF]
At various times, strong interest develops within the industry for early crop maturity. Earliness can allow the manager to harvest the crop in a more timely manner and thus reduce the risk of quality downgrades due to weather damage.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

An Exact Approach to Early/Tardy Scheduling with Release Dates [PDF]
In this paper we consider the single machine earliness/tardiness scheduling problem with di?erent release dates and no unforced idle time. The problem is decomposed into a weighted earliness subproblem and a weighted tardiness subproblem.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Heuristic procedures for reactive project scheduling. [PDF]
This paper describes new heuristic reactive project scheduling procedures that may be used to repair resource-constrained roject baseline schedules that suer from multiple activity duration disruptions during project execution. The objective is to ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Improved Lower Bounds for the Early/Tardy Scheduling Problem with No Idle Time [PDF]
In this paper we consider the single machine earliness/tardiness scheduling problem with no idle time. Two of the lower bounds previously developed for this problem are based on lagrangean relaxation and the multiplier adjustment method, and require an ...

CD 123 - Wheat bread for white flour in cool regions of Brazil [PDF]
Cultivar CD 123 is recommendable for the wheat-growing regions 1, 2 and 3 of the States of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. It is a white flour wheat destined for production in cooler regions.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Improved Heuristics for the Early/Tardy Scheduling Problem with No Idle Time [PDF]
In this paper we consider the single machine earliness/tardiness scheduling problem with no idle time. We present two new heuristics, a dispatch rule and a greedy procedure, and also consider the best of the existing dispatch rules.
