Cortically Dependent Motor Training Does Not Induce Abnormal Movements in DYT1‐Knock In Mice

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
DYT1 dystonia is a familial autosomal dominant, childhood onset dystonia. Mouse models recapitulating the human genotype do not exhibit overtly dystonic movements. It is unclear whether cortically‐dependent tasks are necessary for the development of dystonic movements.

Complex Trauma and Growth in Men Who Have Been Abused as Children and Perpetrated Domestic Violence as Adults

open access: yesChild Abuse Review, Volume 35, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Men who have experienced childhood victimisation are at greater risk of perpetrating domestic violence (DV). While trauma and growth theories have focused on victims' and perpetrators' reactions to traumatic events, how these mechanisms interact is unknown.

FABP4‐mediated lipid droplet accumulation drives epithelial–mesenchymal transition and aggravates alveolar epithelial barrier disruption

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
LIRI induces FABP4 secretion, driving lipid droplets accumulation in alveolar epithelial cells. FABP4 activates p38 MAPK/ULK1 signalling to inhibit lipophagy and promote lipid storage. Lipid droplets trigger epithelial–mesenchymal transition and disrupt alveolar barrier. Elevated FABP4 predicts ARDS in cardiopulmonary bypass patients.

Circular RNAs as Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets in Diabetic Cardiovascular Complications

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
This graphic abstract elaborates on the recent mechanism of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of diabetic cardiovascular complications. Diabetes mellitus induces oxidative/inflammatory stress, followed by endothelial dysfunction and leads to micro‐/macro‐vascular complications.

Graded Motor Imagery (GRAMI Protocol) for Phantom Limb Pain: A Randomised Clinical Trial of Home‐Based Intervention

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pain, Volume 30, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Phantom limb pain (PLP) affects 64% of individuals who have undergone amputation. Various theories explain its development, leading to different treatments, including graded motor imagery. This study analyses the effectiveness of a home‐based intervention protocol based on graded motor imagery (GraMI protocol) as a treatment for ...
