Selection for Growth Traits on M1V1 Generation of Raja Bulu Banana (Musa paradisiaca Linn.) Obtained by Gamma Rays Irradiation

open access: yesCaraka Tani: Journal of Sustainable Agriculture, 2020
Raja Bulu is one of the banana varieties favored by the community because of its thick fruit flesh and sweet taste. However, its parthenocarpic characteristic and vegetative propagation make this banana variety has limited genetic variation.

Identification of Long-Distance Transport Signal Molecules Associated with Plant Maturity in Tetraploid Cultivated Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.)

open access: yesPlants, 2022
Maturity is a key trait for breeders to identify potato cultivars suitable to grow in different latitudes. However, the molecular mechanism regulating maturity remains unclear.

Analysis of the Effects of the Vrn-1 and Ppd-1 Alleles on Adaptive and Agronomic Traits in Common Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

open access: yesPlants
Wheat heading time is primarily governed by two loci: VRN-1 (response to vernalization) and PPD-1 (response to photoperiod). Five sets of near-isogenic lines (NILs) were studied with the aim of investigating the effect of the aforementioned genes on ...

Effects of early maturation on fetal growth

open access: yesAnnals of Human Biology, 1989
While the association of young maternal age with low birthweight (LBW) is well known, the contribution of early menarche to this association has never been studied. We examined the effects of early menarche (less than or equal to 11 years) on LBW and its two major underlying causes: pre-term delivery and smallness-for-gestational-age (SGA).

Evaluation of some promising sweet potato clones for early maturity [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2011
Early maturity studies were carried out with 8 high yielding clones for 3 seasons. The harvesting was done at 75, 90 and 105 days after planting (DAP). At 75 days, the yield of three clones ranged from 12 - 14 t ha-1 and at 90 days, 20 – 26 t ha-1.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
