Abstract The response of terrestrial climate to future warming remains debated. The Pliocene, with CO2 levels similar to today, is an important analog for the future. The East Asian monsoon marginal region is one of the most climate sensitive regions on Earth. Based on contemporaneous aeolian sediments and aquatic‐influenced alluvial sediments from the

Abstract Intracontinental deformation records how early Eocene India–Asia collisional stress propagated into continental interiors. How rapidly compression reached the far field, and whether coeval Paleo‐Pacific slab dynamics contributed, remain debated. The Longzhong Basin, ∼1,900 km north of the collisional zone, provides a key test.

Abstract The Pamir, located at the northwestern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, is undergoing E–W extension within its interior, accommodated by micro‐block motions along major fault systems; however, the mechanisms governing this modern block kinematics remain elusive.

We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

Abstract Premise The modern distribution of the southern cypresses, Callitroideae (Cupressaceae), reflects a classic Gondwanan distribution. The initial diversification of Callitroideae is estimated to have occurred during the Cretaceous, yet fossils from this period are rare, hampering our understanding of its early evolutionary history.
