The results of immunization of women with recurrent spontaneous abortion with paternal lymphocytes are described. The women we have treated were those with more than two spontaneous abortions with the same partner, who did not have evidence of genetic or other causes of recurrent abortion.

Fetal behaviour in early pregnancy

From their emergence onwards movements are specific and easily recognizable and during the course of gestation their appearance hardly changes; they closely resemble movement patterns observed in preterm and full-term newborn infants.

The gestational sac was first identified in the anterior endometrial wall at 16 days after ovulation (4 weeks and 2 days from last menstrual period) and appears to be fully nidated. The sac measures 1.8 mm in diameter.
