Design of an 8‐Channel Transmit 32‐Channel Receive 11.7T Head Coil and Evaluation of SNR Gains
ABSTRACT Purpose To design and develop an 8‐channel transmit 32‐channel receive 11.7T head coil for the strongest human MRI scanner to date, demonstrate safety, and evaluate signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) gains compared to 7T, the most used ultra‐high‐field (UHF) platform.

The Earth's Radiation Budget, Part I
In this exercise, students explore geographical variations in Earth's albedo, reflected solar radiation (short wave radiation), and Earth radiation (long wave radiation). Using datasets and the data viewer from the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE)

Cloudiness and the radiation budget
The problem of obtaining data for quantification of the effects of clouds on radiation budget measurements is discussed. Areas considered include the relationship between observed cloud characteristics and model predicted characteristics and selection of

Phenotypic variation in functional traits underpins responses to environmental gradients, influencing thermoregulation, energy balance, and long‐term persistence under climate extremes. Climate change is altering these gradients globally, yet in species that have already disappeared from much of their range, adaptive phenotypes may have also been lost,

Comfort in the canopy: How urban treescapes affect human thermal comfort in a temperate climate
Abstract People living in urban centres are exposed to higher levels of heat stress than those living outside of these areas; this is intensified by the urban heat island effect. Heat stress is a concern for the more vulnerable members of society and can exacerbate many medical conditions; excessive heat increases morbidity and mortality rates.

Radiative Energy Budget Studies Using Observations from the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE)
Our research activities under this NASA grant have focused on two broad topics associated with the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE): (1) the role of clouds and the surface in modifying the radiative balance; and (2) the spatial and temporal ...

Animating blossom: Time‐lapse to encourage plant awareness in the YouTube era
Time‐lapse videos can effectively capture key traits of flower blossoms, such as color, 3D structure, and temporal changes, making them valuable complements to herbarium specimens and other botanical collections. Despite the abundance of such videos on YouTube, most provide no ecological and botanical insights.
