Improving Imaging Appropriateness in the Emergency Department: Radiology Clinical Decision Support in a Quaternary Care Centre—A Retrospective Observational Study

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background High volumes of low‐value imaging represent a growing challenge for healthcare systems, contributing to unnecessary radiation exposure, increased costs, clinician burnout and environmental impact through CO2 emissions. Electronic Clinical Decision Support (eCDS) systems have emerged as a strategy to improve imaging appropriateness ...

A Review of the Australian MRI Linac Program: From Pie in the Sky to Research Milestone

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Australian Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Linear Accelerator program (MRI linac) was a major research project that aimed to build and test a unique MRI linac prototype for cancer treatment. It aimed to improve radiotherapy anatomical targeting and explore physiological targeting. The purpose of this report is to summarise the development

Inversion and space-time-averaging algorithms for ScaRaB (Scanner for the Earth Radiation Budget). Comparison with ERBE

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae
Establishment of a uniform long-term record of "top-of-the atmosphere" (TOA) Earth radiation budget (ERB) components, on a scale appropriate to the study of cloud radiation interactions, requires that the data obtained from different ...

The Australian Penile Cancer Clinical Registry: a comprehensive national approach to data collection

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Background Penile cancer is a rare malignancy, with an Australian incidence of 0.6 in 100 000 men, with a wide range of clinical presentations, from localised, curable tumours to aggressive forms with high morbidity and mortality. Epidemiological data and management guidelines for penile cancer in Australia are limited.

NePO: Neural Point Octrees for Large‐Scale Novel View Synthesis

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We introduce Neural Point Octrees (NePOs), a scalable radiance field representation that organises point clouds hierarchically for efficient optimisation and rendering of large scale scenes. NePOs enable level of detail selection, joint refinement of appearance and camera poses, and real‐time rendering of hundreds of millions of points.
