Study on the scheme design of integrated grounding system for a 550 kV gas insulated transmission line

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Gas insulated transmission line (GIL) is an advanced power transmission mode. Since the extension of this kind of equipment is relatively long, the grounding design and layout of the GIL will have a direct impact on personal safety and the stability ...

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Effect of Earthing-Up Frequency on Growth and Yield of Anchote (Coccinia abyssinica) Varieties at Gimbi District, Western Ethiopia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Agronomy
Anchote (Coccinia abyssinica (Lam.) Cogn) is a tuberous root crop native to Ethiopia. It is a good source of protein, carbohydrates, calcium, and iron. However, little attention has been given to the improvement of genetic and agronomic practices such as

Enhanced earthing performance by improved design and grounding material properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
An enhance ground electrode (E.G.E.) is a portable grounding system that acts as an additional grounding system, designed for zero potential reference points. The E.G.E could eliminate the increasing of resistance in grounding conductor as it placed next

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Digital Earth: Big Earth Data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth, 2014
Human beings have entered the age of ‘big data’. From 2005 to 2020, the digital universe is expected to grow by a factor of 300, from 130 exabytes to 40,000 exabytes, or 40 trillion gigabytes.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Evaluation of Impact from Ripple and Transient Phenomena in the LHC Dipole Strings [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Based on measurements of the A.C. electrical characteristics of prototype magnets, synthesized computer models of the principal, individual, superconducting magnetic elements of the Large Hadron Collider have been elaborated.
