Characteristics of Earthquake Ground Motion on the Seafloor
Journal of Earthquake Engineering, 2015The differences between onshore and offshore ground motions were studied based on the records from the K-net and SEMS. The horizontal response spectrum and vertical-to-horizontal response spectral ratio for offshore and adjacent onshore ground motions were analyzed.

In this review, we discuss some of the many phenomena that can determine the nature of strong ground motion. Some of these phenomena have been inferred from the study of existing ground-motion records, and others are inferred from theoretical models of earthquake sources and wave propagation.

A Multiway Model for Predicting Earthquake Ground Motion
2013 14th ACIS International Conference on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking and Parallel/Distributed Computing, 2013This paper develops a novel supervised method for predicting earthquake ground motions in the wavelet domain. The training input is a set of seismological predictors related to seismic source, path and local site conditions, and the training output consists of the weights from a multiway analysis of ground motions.
