Relocation of Koyna earthquakes
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1980abstractThe Koyna earthquake of December 10, 1967 was the most damaging reservoir-induced earthquake. It was followed by a long sequence of earthquakes which is still continuing. Precise locations of the Koyna earthquakes have been very much disputed as different locations of the main earthquake and stronger aftershocks were obtained by various workers.

A note on relocating the 1963 Watsonville earthquakes
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1982abstractEvents in the Watsonville earthquake sequence of August and September 1963 were found by Udias (1965) not to concentrate on the main San Andreas fault break. New locations are found using a more site-specific velocity model with carefully determined station adjustments.

On the relocation of earthquake clusters. A case history: The Arkansas earthquake swarm
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1989AbstractA portable digital network (the PANDA array) of 40 three-component stations with an aperture of about 35 km was deployed for 4 months in the Arkansas swarm area in 1987. Only 12 swarm events occurred during the deployment, in contrast to the intense seismic activity that characterized this region in 1982 to 1984.

Psychosocial Determinants of Relocation in Survivors of the 1999 Earthquake in Turkey
Journal of Nervous & Mental Disease, 2008Large-scale earthquakes in urban areas displace many people from their homes. This study examined the role of conditioned fears in determining survivors' tendency to live in shelters after the 1999 earthquake in Turkey. A total of 1655 survivors living in prefabricated housing compounds or residential units in the epicenter zone were screened using a ...

A Social Explanation of Urban Relocation after Earthquakes
International Journal of Mass Emergencies & Disasters, 1996This paper synthesizes the research record regarding urban relocation after earthquakes. Three alternative relocation responses after earthquakes are identified, the range of factors that have been documented to influence them are presented, and identified human impacts of relocation after earthquakes are discussed.

Relocation of the 2001 Earthquake Sequence in Aegion, Greece
Studia Geophysica et Geodaetica, 2004The western part of the Corinth Gulf attracts attention because of its seismically active complex fault system and considerable seismic hazard. Close to the city of Aegion, damaged by the ML 6.2 earthquake of 1995, a sequence of small earthquakes occurred from February to May 2001. The sequence, comprising 171 events of ML 1.8 to 4.7, was recorded by a

Relocation processing of selected earthquakes in the Gulf of Aqaba region
Arabian Journal of Geosciences, 2012Earthquakes in the Gulf of Aqaba were compiled from the Jordan Seismological Observatory bulletins, Saudi Arabia (SNSN, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology), and Egypt (National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, Helwan) sources and were relocated after reexamining the P and S arrival times, testing the efficiency of stations ...

Relocation of Local Earthquakes in North-Western Iran
Proceedings, 2012Earthquake locations routinely determined by the Iranian Seismological Center (IRSC) show a diffuse image of seismicity in North-Western Iran. In order to obtain an enhanced picture of seismicity in this region, a large set of earthquakes recorded by 9 stations from 1996 through 2010 were relocated using the double-difference technique and an ...

Relocation of local earthquakes by seismic ray tracing
Journal of Geophysical Research, 1976Seismic ray tracing is used to relocate a set of local earthquakes recorded by a dense seismic array in Bear Valley, California. The crustal velocity structure is two-dimensional and incorporates most of the known and inferred velocity differences in the region.
