Wage Inequality in East-Central Europe [PDF]

open access: yes
The substantial rise of wage inequality in Central and Eastern Europe has attracted the attention of sociologists, concerned with social equity, and economists for whom it indicated the growing differentiation and restructuring of relative prices on the ...

Topography‐Regulated Screening Platform for Myoblast Contact Guidance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study develops a topography‐regulated screening platform (12 gradients in 96‐topography‐well plate) enabling analysis of skeletal muscle morphogenesis. The topography‐induced cell morphology changed, cell polarization, and myotube differentiation, establishing an evaluative framework for generating pathologically relevant myotube phenotypes to ...

A survey on European integration, offshoring and trade [PDF]

open access: yes
This note describes Central and Eastern European countries’ (CEECs) involvement in production and trade in Europe. After having liberalised their economies in the 1990s, CEECs have become a part of international production networks in Europe ...

Linking Device Performance to Nanoscale Photoactivation of Grain Boundaries in 2D Hybrid Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The opto‐electronic response of polycrystalline (PEA)2PbBr4 thin films is investigated by correlating macroscopic photodetector performance with nanoscale mapping techniques. Grain boundary density is systematically tuned through crystallization control and linked to device responsivity.

Foreign direct investment in Central and East European countries: State of affairs, prospects and policy implications [PDF]

open access: yes
Foreign direct investment (FDI) is rightly considered as an engine in transforming Central and East European Countries (CEECs). Without massive inflows of capital, technology and management know-how a sustainable growth is unlikely to happen.

Self‐Soldering, Stretchable and Self‐Healing Liquid Metal Elastomer Interconnections for Soft Electronics Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A self‐healing and electrically conductive liquid metal elastomer enables robust self‐soldering of surface mount devices for soft electronics. Photothermally activated conductive pathways, strong pressure‐sensitive adhesion, and stable package‐integrated contacts provide high conductivity and extreme stretchability.
