Miocene Hydrobiidae (Gastropoda) of the Eastern Paratethys
Paleontological Journal, 2023A review of the family Hydrobiidae from the Tarkhanian and Chokrakian deposits was made. New genus Islamiella was described, in which the species I. miocenica sp. nov. (upper Tarkhanian–lower Chokrakian) and I. maeotica sp. nov. (lower Maeotian) were included.

Miocene Amathinidae (Gastropoda) of the Eastern Paratethys
Палеонтологический журнал, 2023Review was made for the Tarkhanian and Chokrakian representatives of the family Amathinidae. Two genera were defined—Leucotina and Carinorbis. The species L. ventosa (Bajarunas, 1910), L. belskayae (L. Iljina, 1993), L. costata sp. nov., L. excussa sp. nov., L. ovata sp. nov. and L. ovatoides sp. nov.

Abstract The age of glass shard levels, interlayered in Sarmatian deposits from the southwestern Russia are measured with the fission track method. The results obtained from different laboratories (Moscow, Pisa, Campinas) using their specific techniques are in good agreement so proving a good interlaboratory agreement.

The Dacian Basin formed an important link between the central and eastern parts of the Paratethys, a chain of late Tertiary inland seas and lakes. This study presents constraints on Miocene sea and lake level fluctuations in the Dacian Basin and on the connectivity between it and other Paratethys basins, based on the interpretation of seismic lines, a ...

On early Sarmatian fishes from the Eastern Paratethys
Paleontological Journal, 2009Early Sarmatian bony fish assemblages from the Pshekha River (northern Caucasus) and the village of Naslavcea (northern Moldova) are compared. It is proposed that, in the Early Sarmatian, connection between the North Caucasian and Moldavian basins was hampered and the two fish localities were formed under different conditions.

Stratigraphy and Geological Correlation
Abstract—: The history of sea level fluctuations in the Miocene basins of the Eastern Paratethys was determined by tectonics in the straits’ zone and by river discharge and hydrological balance. The available magnetostratigraphic records permitted dating transgressive and regressive episodes, and seismostratigraphic and drilling materials made it ...

A new fossil Aphanius species from the Upper Miocene of Armenia (Eastern Paratethys)
Paläontologische Zeitschrift, 2009A new fossil fish species, Aphanius yerevanicus (Cyprinodontiformes, Cyprinodontidae), is described based on a well-preserved, articulated skeleton from the early Upper Miocene of Yerevan, Armenia (Eastern Paratethys). The fish-bearing sediments contain a fossil assemblage indicative of a euryhaline environment.

Paleomagnetic research of the Upper Miocene sections of Taman Peninsula (Eastern Paratethys)
2022<p>Magnetostratigraphic studies currently play an important role in the dating of the Miocene sections of the Kerch-Taman region (Eastern Paratethys). The major goal of our work was the paleomagnetic and rock magnetic studies of the transient Sarmatian-Meotian deposits in order to estimate the relative age (pre- or postfolding) of the ...
