2D/3D Heterostructure Halide Perovskite Thin Films through an Innovative Spray‐Deposition of Bulky Organic Cation‐Containing Ammonium Salts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Spray‐depositon of bulky organic cations salts on top of 3D perovskite layers lead to formation of 2D/3D perovskite heterostructurs with 2D perovskite compositions (PEA)2FAPb2I7, (TMA)2PbI4, (CMA)2FAPb2I7, and (DDA)2FAPb2I7, respectively. Extensive characterization, including X‐ray diffraction and grazing incidence wide‐angle X‐ray scattering, confirms

Ethical implications of defining longstanding anorexia nervosa

open access: yesJournal of Eating Disorders
The label severe and enduring anorexia nervosa (SE-AN) is widely used in the literature on longstanding anorexia nervosa (AN). However, the process of constructing the criteria and the use of the label SE-AN has ethical implications that have not been ...

Modeling eating disorders of cognitive impaired people [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Millions of people all around the world suffer from eating disorders, known as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, pica, and others. When eating disorders coexist with other mental health disorders, eating disorders often go undiagnosed and untreated; a ...

Leveraging Grain Boundary Effects for Nanostructured Electrode Layers in Symmetric Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Nanocrystalline thin‐films of lanthanum chromite exhibit extraordinary properties of fast oxygen kinetics. These properties are due to the peculiar chemistry of grain boundaries and can be harnessed for fabricating symmetric electrochemical devices with self‐healing properties. Abstract While grain boundary engineering is attracting great interest as a

“Holding the line”—relationship building and challenges when nursing adults with a severe eating disorder

open access: yesJournal of Eating Disorders
Background Eating disorders (EDs) are serious psychiatric disorders that may cause great suffering and reduced quality of life. Severe EDs often lead to somatic complications and have a high mortality rate.

Organic Ferroelectric Synaptic Transistors for Neural Image Recognition Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
All organic transistors, where both the dielectric and semiconducting layers are polymeric, are developed as electrical synaptic devices. Two copolymers of PVDF as the dielectric layer with large differences in their saturation polarizability and memory window are chosen.

Flexible Production of Spherical Powders of Ti‐V‐Zr‐Nb‐Mo‐Hf‐Ta‐W Refractory High‐Entropy Alloys by Plasma‐Assisted Centrifugal Atomization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
In this work, spherical powders of refractory Ti‐V‐Zr‐Nb‐Mo‐Hf‐Ta‐W high‐entropy alloys (R‐HEAs) have been fabricated in a single step by plasma‐assisted centrifugal atomization. Loss of the heaviest elements in the composition is observed only at rotational speeds higher than 13 000 rpm due to solid‐solid centrifugal separation.

Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder differs from anorexia nervosa in delay discounting

open access: yesJournal of Eating Disorders
Background Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) and anorexia nervosa (AN) are the two primary restrictive eating disorders; however, they are driven by differing motives for inadequate dietary intake.
