The Transient Responses of EBR-1

open access: yesJournal of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan / Atomic Energy Society of Japan, 1962
The linearized transfer functions from various input quantities to reactor power are derived. The transient responses of EBR-1, Mark II core to step changes in impressed reactivity, coolant flow and inlet coolant temperature are calculated to the interpretation of the dynamic behaviors observed in terms of these transfer functions. Charge‐Transfer‐Mediated Boron Magneto‐Ionics: Towards Voltage‐Driven Multi‐Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates voltage‐driven multi‐ion transport in FeBO systems, revealing simultaneous motion of B, Fe, and O ions enabled by charge‐transfer effects. By tuning oxidation states through oxygen incorporation, we achieve a transition from electrostatic‐like to electrochemical magneto‐ionic behavior. The findings establish boron magneto‐ionics,

CALR was an important target of EBR treatment.

open access: yes, 2015
A) The effect of 12-h EBR treatment after pEGFP-CALR plasmid transfection was visualized via GFP dots in LNCaP cells. Tunicamycin treatment was performed as a positive control.

EBR-II Data Digitization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
1. Objectives To produce a validation database out of those recorded signals it will be necessary also to identify the documents need to reconstruct the status of reactor at the time of the beginning of the recordings. This should comprehends the core loading specification (assemblies type and location and burn-up) along with this data the assemblies ...

The Landscape of Long Non‐Coding RNAs Provides Insights Into the Domestication and Improvement of Pear Fruit

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that long non‐coding RNAs represent important regulatory components underlying pear domestication and improvement. Integrative multi‐omics analyses identify selected lncRNAs associated with fruit traits, while functional validation uncovers a lignin‐related lncRNA, lncRNA‐pys, that promotes lignin accumulation.

Emergent Magnetism, Heavy Electrons, and Pressure‐Induced Reentrant Superconductivity in the Iron Substituted 4d Transition‐Metal Sulfides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work illustrates that magnetic Fe substitution enables systematic modulation of physical properties of the putative unconventional superconductor Rh17S15. Iron doping uncovers delicate competition between weak ferromagnetism, spin‐glass states, heavy‐fermion signatures, and superconductivity.

Operating and test experience of EBR-II [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
EBR-2 has operated for 27 years, the longest for any Liquid Metal Reactor (LMR) power plant. During that time, much has been learned about successful LMR operation and design.

Core-loading diagrams for EBR-II runs 51-67 (August 1971--December 1973). EBR-II Project

open access: yes, 1974
The core-loading diagrams for EBR-II runs 51 through 67, which were made in EBR-II between August 1971 and December 1973 are presented. During those runs, the reactor accumulated 25,679 MWd of operation.

Cross-sectional exploratory survey among health researchers in Europe on the awareness of and barriers affecting the use of an evidence-based research approach

open access: yesBMJ Open
Objectives This exploratory study was conducted to find out how well the concept of evidence-based research (EBR) is known among European health researchers with substantial clinical research experience, and which barriers affect the use of an EBR ...
