Graphene‐based materials are attracting considerable interest for biomedical applications. Analysis of their biocompatibility is required before their clinical translation, and swine represents an excellent close‐to‐human model. This study evaluates the toxicological and immunological impact of pristine graphene and graphene oxide through a compendium ...

Bayesian ECG reconstruction using denoising diffusion generative models [PDF]
In this work, we propose a denoising diffusion generative model (DDGM) trained with healthy electrocardiogram (ECG) data that focuses on ECG morphology and inter-lead dependence. Our results show that this innovative generative model can successfully generate realistic ECG signals.

Biomimetic glycosaminoglycan analog hydrogels exhibit suitable and robust mechanical properties, as well as hemocompatibility and biocompatibility, making them ideal for the embolization of intracranial aneurysms. Notably, the hydrogel's environment‐selective swelling properties enable complete blockage of the aneurysm cavity while preventing ...

Data Augmentation for Electrocardiogram Classification with Deep Neural Network [PDF]
Electrocardiogram (ECG) is the most crucial monitoring modality to diagnose cardiovascular events. Precise and automatic detection of abnormal ECG patterns is beneficial to both physicians and patients. In the automatic detection of abnormal ECG patterns, deep neural networks (DNNs) have shown significant achievements.

Electrocardio Panorama: Synthesizing New ECG Views with Self-supervision [PDF]
Multi-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) provides clinical information of heartbeats from several fixed viewpoints determined by the lead positioning. However, it is often not satisfactory to visualize ECG signals in these fixed and limited views, as some clinically useful information is represented only from a few specific ECG viewpoints. For the first time,

Highly sprouting organoid‐like neurovascular spheroids (NVUs) are developed, featuring cell‐loaded poly‐3‐hydroxybutyrate 4‐hydroxybutyrate(P34HB) porous microsphere cores embedded within Gelatin Methacryloyl. NVUs formed complex vascular plexuses and secreted extracellular matrix in vitro, simulating autologous nerves and blood interaction.

An ECG-SoC with 535nW/channel lossless data compression for wearable sensors [PDF]
This paper presents a low power ECG recording Sys-tem-on-Chip (SoC) with on-chip low complexity lossless ECG compression for data reduction in wireless/ambulatory ECG sensor devices. The proposed algorithm uses a linear slope predictor to estimate the ECG samples, and uses a novel low complexity dynamic coding-packaging scheme to frame the resulting ...

A Simple Self-Supervised ECG Representation Learning Method via Manipulated Temporal-Spatial Reverse Detection [PDF]
Learning representations from electrocardiogram (ECG) signals can serve as a fundamental step for different machine learning-based ECG tasks. In order to extract general ECG representations that can be adapted to various downstream tasks, the learning process needs to be based on a general ECG-related task which can be achieved through self-supervised ...

Brugada-type ECG associated with pectus excavatum [PDF]
Brugada phenocopies (BrP) are new clinical entities characterized by an ECG pattern that is identical to type 1 or type 2 Brugada pattern, despite the absence of the true congenital Brugada syndrome (BrS).
