Spiral Echo-Planar Imaging
1998 This chapter departs somewhat from the others in this volume. Echo-planar imaging (EPI) typically refers to a scan that covers k-space in a nearly rectilinear fashion, with an oscillating gradient on one axis. Here we discuss scanning k-space in a spiral fashion, with two oscillating gradients.openaire +1 more source[Echo-planar imaging of the brain].
Der Radiologe, 1996 In this review, the clinical utility of echoplanar techniques in MRI of the brain is discussed. Comparison of high-resolution EPI with SE/turbo-SE shows high image quality of EPI in the supratentorial brain. In the infratentorial region, however, susceptibility artifacts limit image quality. 1996 In this report, a review is made of the mechanism behind the functional MRI (fMRI) signals and the advances made in many different areas of fMRI. Such areas include understanding and compensating for artifacts specific to fMRI, postprocessing of fMRI images, the application of fMRI to areas of interest in neuroscience, some interesting new glimpses on ...openaire +2 more sourcesEcho-Planar Imaging
