Forecasting energy consumption and wind power generation using deep echo state network
, 2020Accurate energy forecasting is of great significance for the energy sector to formulate short-term plans and long-term development strategies for meeting energy needs. This study develops a stacked hierarchy of reservoirs (DeepESN) for forecasting energy

Residual Echo Reduction for Multichannel Echo Canceller Using Echo Replica
2018 16th International Workshop on Acoustic Signal Enhancement (IWAENC), 2018We propose a frequency-domain residual echo reduction method for a multichannel acoustic echo canceller (AEC) that mixes the complex-valued residual echo estimated from the AEC's echo replica with the one estimated from multichannel loudspeaker signals.

Spin-echo versus gradient-echo fMRI with short echo times
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2001Blood-oxygen level dependent signal changes in the visual cortex were investigated as a function of echo time with spin-echo and gradient-echo EPI at 1.5 T and 3 T. The linear relationship between the fractional signal change and the echo time was apparent in all cases.

In dogs anesthetized with pentobarbital, with the heart denervated; the adrenals ligated, and the S.A. node crushed, stimuli were applied to the ventricle. Whenever the V-A delay lengthens sufficiently there is an additional ventricular impulse that returns from the auricle; these impulses are designated as ‘echoes.’ If the stimulated ventricular ...

The Rhythm of Echoes and Echoes of Violence
Theory, Culture & Society, 2016This paper contributes to non-ocularcentric theory and theorizing by way of a methodological application and extension of Henri Lefebvre’s Rhythmanalysis. It explores the cultural dynamics of echoes and history, using as an instrumental case study Steve Reich’s 1966 tape-loop composition, Come Out, to elucidate the ambivalent and contradictory ...
