Echocardiogram of the Pulmonary Valve

open access: yesJapanese Heart Journal, 1974
The echogram of the pulmonary valve was recorded in 11 normal subjects and in 70 patients with various underlying disease. On the routine examination, the detection of the pulmonary valve was about 20%, but the aimed study disclosed the valve more frequently. The technique was described in detail.

The Echocardiogram after Pericardiectomy

open access: yesJapanese Heart Journal, 1979
Many factors may affect the interventricular septal motion. This study measures the effect of pericardiectomy on septal motion in 9 patients who were evaluated 1 week to 58 months after pericardiectomy. Echocardiography was performed with the patient in recumbent position with the special care to record motion of the muscular septum and not that of the

Echo-Vision-FM: a pre-training and fine-tuning framework for echocardiogram video vision foundation model

open access: yesNature Communications
We introduce and evaluate Echo-Vision-FM (Echocardiogram Video Vision Foundation Model), a self-supervised video learning framework designed to pre-train a video encoder on large-scale, unlabeled echocardiogram data. The framework aims to generate robust,

A Deep Learning Model to Identify Mitral Valve Prolapse: from the Echocardiogram

open access: yesJACC Cardiovascular Imaging
Background: MVP has a prevalence of 2–3% and increases risk of heart failure and sudden death, but diagnosis by transthoracic echocardiography requires time and expertise.

Additive Value of Preprocedural Computed Tomography Planning Versus Stand‐Alone Transesophageal Echocardiogram Guidance to Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion: Comparison of Real‐World Practice

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association : Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2021
Background Transesophageal echocardiogram is currently the standard preprocedural imaging for left atrial appendage occlusion. This study aimed to assess the additive value of preprocedural computed tomography (CT) planning versus stand‐alone ...
