Chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) induces early myocardial remodeling and senescence‐associated injury without overt systolic failure in young mice. Aging‐related susceptibility, modeled in vivo by Tert−/− mice and in vitro by D‐gal‐treated primary cardiomyocytes, amplifies CIH‐associated cardiac dysfunction and cellular injury.

Standard‐dose magnesium sulfate may cause life‐threatening hypermagnesemia and reversible hig ‐degree atrioventricular block in pregnant women with acute kidney injury. Prompt recognition, discontinuation of magnesium sulfate, and intravenous calcium gluconate can rapidly restore cardiac conduction and improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Anabolic‐androgenic steroid use is associated with cardiac structural remodeling and functional impairment in strength‐trained athletes. Longer exposure was significantly associated with greater reductions in LVEF and increases in LVMI and posterior wall thickness, while other echocardiographic abnormalities showed heterogeneous temporal patterns ...
