ABSTRACT Background Tine‐based leadless pacemakers have been commercially implanted over the last 10 years. Retrieval of older devices is rarely discussed and based on rare case reports only. Methods A retrospective review of an extraction case of a Micra AV leadless pacemaker was performed. Internal Review Board approval was obtained.

The experimental condition consisted of walking on a treadmill at 5 km/h and 2% incline, inside a heat chamber at 40°C (50% relative humidity), for 90 min.
