[Automated cardiac output measurement by color Doppler echocardiography].
Journal of cardiology, 1998Recently, automated cardiac flow measurement (ACM) has been developed for measuring the volume flow rate of blood flow through the left ventricular outflow tract. Measurements of left ventricular cardiac output by the ACM method were compared with those by the thermal dilution method with a Swan-Ganz catheter in 27 patients (16 men and 11 women; aged ...

[Applications of color-coded Doppler 2-dimensional echocardiography].
Archivos del Instituto de Cardiologia de Mexico, 1988Conventional Doppler techniques have been used for sometime, but are limited by personal skill and experience, as well as by the fact that it can sample only one specific cardiac site at a time. The introduction of color-coded Doppler flow imaging systems allows by using multiple sample volumes an immediate display of intracardiac blood flow, spatially-

[Color Doppler echocardiography: expanded noninvasive cardiologic diagnosis].
Wiener medizinische Wochenschrift (1946), 1987Two-dimensional color Doppler flow mapping (CD) provides actual information concerning the spatial distribution of blood flow within the heart and the great vessels. CD enables the differentiation between physiological and pathological blood flow situations and provides additional information concerning turbulence, velocity and spatial relations.

[Color doppler-echocardiography study of the triatrial heart].
Archivos del Instituto de Cardiologia de Mexico, 1991Two-dimensional echocardiography has proved its utility in the diagnosis of cor triatriatum sinister by visualizing the defect and its relation to the other structures. Recently pulsed and continuous wave Doppler have been used to determine the degree of obstruction of the membrane.

[Quantifying aortic valve insufficiency using color Doppler echocardiography].
Zeitschrift fur die gesamte innere Medizin und ihre Grenzgebiete, 199051 consecutive patients with the clinical signs of aortic valve incompetence (AI) were evaluated by color-coded Doppler flow mapping (CDF) before angiography (AG). Quantitation of the severity of AI was performed by measurement of length and width of the extension of regurgitant jet (grade I-IV). After AG results both -AG and CDF- were compared.

[Color-coded doppler echocardiography in atrial septal defects].
Casopis lekaru ceskych, 1990The magnitude of a left-to-right shunt in atrial septal defects was evaluated independently in catheterizations of the heart according to saturations and characteristics of the shunt stream in colour-flow Doppler echocardiography. The ratio of the pulmonary and systemic flow (Qp/Qs) assessed in 14 patients with atrial septal defects during ...

[Balloon atrioseptostomy under color flow Doppler echocardiography guidance].
Journal of cardiology, 1994The clinical effectiveness and safety of balloon atrioseptostomy (BAS) under color flow mapping Doppler echocardiography (CFM) guidance was evaluated in 21 BAS procedures performed on 19 patients with cyanotic heart disease (d-TGA 15, PA 1, TA 2, Ebstein's anomaly PA + supramitral ring 1) in the cardiac catheterization laboratory (16 patients) or in ...
