High-resolution infrared spectroscopy as a tool to detect false positives of transit search programs

open access: yes, 2010
Transit search programs such as CoRoT and Kepler now have the capability of detecting planets as small as the Earth. The detection of these planets however requires the removal of all false positives.

A Statistical Study of the O’Connell Effect in Eclipsing Binaries from the ASAS-SN Survey

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
The O’Connell effect is characterized by unequal maxima in the light curve of eclipsing binaries, while its physical origin remains unclear. The All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae provides more than a decade of all-sky monitoring data, including 154,

Ole Romer's method still on the stage. The study of two bound eclipsing binaries in quintuple system V994 Her

open access: yes, 2013
More than three hundred years ago, Ole Romer measured the speed of light only by observing the periodic shifting of the observed eclipse arrival times of Jupiter's moons arising from the varying Earth-Jupiter distance.

Light curve solutions of six eclipsing binaries at the lower limit of periods of the W UMa stars

open access: yes, 2015
Photometric observations in V and I bands of six eclipsing binaries at the lower limit of the orbital periods of W UMa stars are presented. Three of them are newly discovered eclipsing systems.

Atmospheric Eclipsing Binary Zeta Aurigae in the 1987–1988 Eclipse [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1992
A total of 1,037 UBV observations was made for the latest eclipse of Zeta Aur in 1987–1988 at Yonsei University Observatory. These observations furnish UBV light curves which cover the phases before, during, and after the eclipse. The current issues regarding the radius variations of K supergiant component are discussed.
