New periodic variable stars coincident with ROSAT sources discovered using SuperWASP [PDF]

We present optical lightcurves of 428 periodic variable stars coincident with ROSAT X-ray sources, detected using the first run of the SuperWASP photometric survey. Only 68 of these were previously recognised as periodic variables.

Spectrophotometry of massive eclipsing binary stars

Normalized flux distributions were measured for U Ophiuchi, AG Persei, lambda Tauri, and V356 Sagitarii from 1976 July to 1978 March. The spectra of lambda Tauri match those of a B4 star and an A4 star at phases 0.77--9.90, and those of a B3 star and an A4 star at other phases.

CW Cas: A Solar-type Contact Binary System with an Unseen Third Companion in a Hierarchical Quadruple System

We present a comprehensive multiband photometric and spectroscopic study of the G-type binary CW Cas. Analysis of its double-lined spectroscopic radial velocity curves yields a reliable mass ratio of q  = 1.88(9).
