Half a Million Binary Stars Identified from the Low-resolution Spectra of LAMOST

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Binary stars are prevalent yet challenging to detect. We present a novel approach using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to identify binary stars from low-resolution spectra obtained by the LAMOST survey.

FASLG Derived from Fibroblasts in Hydroxyapatite‐Rich Microenvironment Induces Urothelial Anoikis to Trigger Randall's Plaque Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 34, 19 June 2026.
Randall's plaques (RP) serve as the nidus for calcium oxalate (CaOx) kidney stones. The current study reveals that hydroxyapatite (HAP) crystals activate the THY1–GSK3α/β–β‐catenin axis in renal interstitial fibroblasts (hRIFs), inducing FASLG secretion.

Eclipsing Binary Stars In The Magellanic Clouds

open access: yes, 2007
Within the next few years eclipsing binaries should yield primary distance measurements for the Magellanic Clouds as well as provide tests of theoretical low-metallicity stellar models.

KIC 6464285: A Solar-type Eclipsing Binary in a Hierarchical Triple System with Quasiperiodic Out-of-eclipse Modulations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present the first detailed analysis of the solar-type triple system KIC 6464285. Combining long-term, high-precision photometry from Kepler, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, and the Zwicky Transient Facility with low-resolution spectra from ...

BioPOW: Bioactive Dry Water Powders Enable Catalysis With Solvent‐Sensitive Enzymes in Pickering Emulsions

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 12, 26 June 2026.
Bioactive dry water powder (BioPOW) encapsulates enzymes in nanoparticle‐coated water microdroplets. These microdroplets are introduced as a free‐flowing solid into organic solvents, where they form bioactive pickering emulsions (BioPEs) only after contact with the organic phase.

Actin Isovariant ACT2‐Mediated Cellular Auxin Homeostasis Regulates Lateral Root Organogenesis in  Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesCytoskeleton, Volume 83, Issue 6, Page 281-293, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Lateral root (LR) organogenesis is regulated by cellular flux of auxin within pericycle cells, which depends on the membrane distribution and polar localization of auxin carrier proteins. The correct distribution of auxin carrier proteins relies on the intracellular trafficking of these proteins aided by filamentous actin as a track.

The Eclipsing Novalike Cataclysmic Variable CRTS SSS100505 J093417-174421

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Time-resolved optical photometry, complemented by Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) data and long-term survey light curves, reveals that the transient object CRTS SSS100505 J093417-174421 is an eclipsing novalike cataclysmic variable of the VY
