Advancing Research on Urban Ecological Corridors in the Context of Carbon Neutrality: Insights from Bibliometric and Systematic Reviews

open access: yesAtmosphere
The construction and maintenance of ecological corridors not only facilitate species migration and gene flow but also enhance ecosystem stability and resilience, providing critical support for achieving global carbon neutrality goals.

Living on the edge: Habitat characteristics of northern myotis at the periphery of its distribution

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.
Northern myotis selected tall trees with minimal decay, in patches with other roosting options. In our study area, these trees occurred in narrow bands within an agricultural matrix, differing from contiguous forest at the core of the species' distribution. Nevertheless, bats selected the tallest trees in the densest patches available.

Analysis of the ecological principles underpinning forest landscape restoration: a case study of wood cricket (Nemobius sylvestris) on the Isle of Wight (UK). [PDF]

open access: yes
Current woodland restoration programs are increasingly focussing on the creation of habitat networks in order to increase woodland cover and connectivity.

Asymmetric Responses of Ecosystem Health to Urbanization in a Typical Karst City: Spatiotemporal Patterns and Driving Mechanisms in Guilin, China

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Urban expansion can substantially reshape ecosystem structure and functioning, especially in ecologically fragile Karst landscapes. Clarifying how ecosystem health (EH) responds to urbanization and identifying the factors that drive spatial variation in EH are important for regional sustainability.

A Study on the Distribution Characteristics of Salinity and Nutrients and the Migration Mechanism of Soil Salt in the Delingha Saline‐Alkali Soil Profile of the Qaidam Basin

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Soil salinization negatively impacts the economic development and ecological environment, particularly in the arid and semiarid regions of China. The Qaidam Basin constitutes a major distribution area of saline‐alkali land in the country. However, the distribution patterns of salinity and nutrients within soil profiles and the underlying salt ...

Data from: Landscape Corridors (LSCorridors): a new software package for modeling ecological corridors based on landscape patterns and species requirements

open access: yes, 2017
1.Maintaining connectivity is one of the main challenges for biodiversity conservation worldwide. Ecological corridors are important to maintain landscape connectivity, but their efficiency depends on landscape patterns and species responses at different
