Abstract This chapter will address studies bridging ecology and genetics, that is, relating issues discussed in the previous chapter to those discussed in chapters 2, 3, and 4. Much of the work discussed in chapters 2 and 3 regarding levels of genetic variation in populations was done with little or no regard to ecological context.
