TreeSpider: In‐Canopy Exploration With Tether‐Based Aerial Modular Arms
A tethered drone with perching arms and a 360° ring enables unprecedented maneuverability within dense forest canopies. By dynamically adjusting tether length and decoupling pitch from the frame, it navigates between branches, senses multiple trees, and interacts physically with foliage.

Services, service innovation and the ecological challenge [PDF]
This chapter is devoted to the positive ‘green services’ myth expressing the idea that services are naturally less harmful to the environment (greener) than material goods. This positive assessment of services is grounded in theoretical arguments relating to the fundamental nature of service activities, and in particular to their immateriality. The

Heuristically Adaptive Diffusion‐Model Evolutionary Strategy
Building on the mathematical equivalence between diffusion models and evolutionary algorithms, researchers demonstrate unprecedented control over evolutionary optimization through conditional diffusion. By training diffusion models to associate parameters with specific traits, they can guide evolution toward solutions exhibiting desired behaviors ...

Dissemination and adoption of bottom-up agriculture to improve soil fertility in Africa: An interdisciplinary approach [PDF]
Soil fertility is at stake at a global scale, putting pressure on food security, poverty alleviation and environmental protection, under scenarios of climate change that in most cases aggravate the threat. In sub-Saharan Africa, a combination of depleted

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.
