Structural Variations Associated with Adaptation and Coat Color in Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau Cattle

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the landscape of structural variants in Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau cattle through long‐read sequencing. Discoveries include metabolic and oxygen‐regulation gene variants, along with a 2‐Mb KIT‐containing inversion and translocations responsible for cattle gray coat. These findings highlight the significant role of structural variants in

Targeted Intervention Strategies for Maternal–Offspring Transmission of Christensenellaceae in Pigs via a Deep Learning Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study deciphers maternal‐driven microbial transmission in pigs using a deep learning model (maternal–offspring microbial transmission model), identifying Christensenellaceae R‐7 group as a key transmitted taxon. Filtered galacto‐oligosaccharides‐targeted Christensenellaceae R‐7 group alters offspring microbial functions via maternal ...

Amorphous Engineering Driving d‐Orbital High Spin Configuration for Almost 100% 1O2‐Mediated Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through an amorphization strategy, the electronic structure of single‐atom Co is effectively modulated from a low spin state (Co‐CCN) to a high spin state (Co‐ACN). The rearrangement of the electronic configuration optimizes the d‐band center resulting in the selectivity of 1O2 with almost 100%.

Carbonyls Mediated Dual‐Function Enables High‐Performance Carbon Anodes in Ester‐based Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on a surface reconstruction strategy, hollow mesoporous carbon spheres with numerous C═O moieties are developed. Systematic characterizations demonstrate that the presence of C═O presents a double‐functional behavior. On the one hand, C═O has a stronger affinity to K‐salt than solvent molecules, thus catalyzing the preferential decomposition of K‐
