Chromosome‐Level Genome Assembly of the Leafcutter Bee Megachile rotundata Reveals Its Ecological Adaptation and Pollination Biology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The genome of Megachile rotundata, an extensively managed solitary pollination bee species, has been sequenced, covering 280.68 Mb and predicting 10 701 genes. The study reveals significant expansions of the Toll gene family and their abundant expression in diapause prepupae, highlighting enhanced immune responses during diapause. This genome serves as

Mechanochemical‐Triggered Confined Coordination of Iron‐Biomass Composites for Efficient Cr(VI) Reduction Under Circumneutral pH Via Accelerated Electron Extraction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delineates a mechanochemical‐triggered confined metal‐biomass coordination strategy that demonstrates strong potential for industrialization. The prepared CMC‐GTB/Febm material achieved efficient Cr(VI) reduction and detoxification under circumneutral pH (5–9).

Hierarchical Assembly of Carbon Dots with Full‐Solar‐Spectrum Absorption for Solar Energy Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hierarchical assemblies of carbon dots are constructed, achieving full‐solar‐spectrum absorption, superior photothermal properties, and good hydrophilicity. These assemblies can be in situ prepared on a fabric, which exhibits good performance for applications in solar‐driven interfacial water evaporation and electricity generation.
