Quantifying Strain and Its Effect on Charge Transport in Ge/Si Core/Shell Nanowires
This work demonstrates strain engineering in Ge/Si core–shell nanowires (CS NWs) by tuning the Ge core‐Si shell dimensions. Polarization‐resolved µ‐Raman and geometrical phase analysis quantify the resulting strain. Electronic transport measurements demonstrate record hole mobilities up to 25 400 cm2/Vs, highlighting these Ge/Si CS NWs as a promising ...

From viability to sustainability: the contribution of the viable systems approach (VSA) [PDF]
The current dynamics of business systems require new ways of conceiving the role of single entities. On this basis, a complex of interactions between the company and the reference context must be activated to guarantee survival dynamics.

The action spectrum of a tailored azobenzene is shifted toward bio‐optical window through the chemical modification of its singlet and triplet energy levels. Consequently, the bidirectional photo‐switching of azobenzene in physiological conditions is achieved when excited by red and far‐red light, which offers greater tissue penetration.

Noninvasive Focal Gene Delivery into the Cerebellum of Non‐Human Primates using Focused Ultrasound
Focal and non‐invasive viral vector delivery in non‐human primates remains a major challenge in translational neuroscience. Low‐intensity focused ultrasound was used to transiently open the blood–brain barrier and enable targeted gene delivery to the cerebellum.

Growth and nutrient uptake of the seaweed Ulva ohnoi integrated in a Solea senegalensis recirculating system: influence of lighting, stocking density and CO2 [PDF]
The integrated production of fish and seaweeds can improve the sustainability of the marine aquaculture industry. Seaweeds remove the nutrients dissolved in fish-farm effluents and can become a good source of proteins, carbohydrates and bioactive ...

Food Prices and Inflation Expectations in New Zealand
ABSTRACT Food prices are conspicuous, and spending on food constitutes a considerable share of household expenditure. In this study, we use partially identified Bayesian structural vector autoregression models to analyze the effects of food price shocks on core inflation and 1‐ and 5‐year inflation expectations in New Zealand.
