Journal of Koreanology, 2015이 글은 1920년대 후반부터 1930년대 초중반 경제변동과 상식의 분화에 따른 경제상식의 형성과 그 담론의 변천이 갖는 의미를 구명(究明)하고자 한다. 식민지 조선에서 상식은 1920년대 중후반에 접어들면서 분화되기 시작했다. 신문이나 잡지 지면의 한계를 벗어나 처음으로 상식이란 이름을 단 서적들이 출현하였다. 이처럼 상식이 조선에서 앎의 한 형식으로 자리 잡을 수 있었던 배경에는 고등교육의 확대, 외국서적의 유입, 미디어의 확산, 과학 및 기타 학문의 심화, 한글 교육, 사회주의와 같은 지식이데올로기의 보급, 영화 연극 등 취미의 다변화와 대중문화의 성장 등이 있었다.

Almost all of the underdeveloped countries that were not colonies were, and many are still, economically dominated from abroad with effects in the economic field which are closely similar to those under colonialism.
