Economic Consequences of Equity Compensation Disclosure
Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance, 2011The primary role of equity compensation is to provide incentives to an effort-averse agent. Here, the author shows that the chosen level of equity incentives, when publicly disclosed, will also convey information about future earnings, causing two-way linkages between incentive compensation, and financial reporting.

Sites are scarce, depletable resources. Development at sites frequently involves losses of aesthetic, recreational, and spiritual qualities. Attempts to quantify these losses are increasingly made via nonmarket valuation techniques. Conservation of sites frequently involves foregoing alternative uses of the sites.

2018Abstract This chapter documents the evolution of executive compensation in large, publicly traded American corporations over the past century. Executive pay followed a J-shaped pattern. The real value of median total pay declined sharply during World War II, then fell slowly in the late 1940s.

The economics of victim compensation
2019Congress has considered adopting a program to provide a 75 percent subsidy for the costs of state programs which would give payments to the victims of criminal attacks. All victims, in state and federal jurisdictions, would be compensated for their losses, should they not have sufficient private insurance.
