In this paper we are comparing the widely used Heuristic Method and Genetic Algorithm with a faster and effective non-iterative “λ-Logic Based” algorithm for ED (Economic Dispatch) of Thermal Units. The non-iterative method uses pre-prepared data to obtain the solution for a specified power demand.
