Sustainable Thermal Solutions: Enhancing Heat Transfer with Turbulators and Nanofluids

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Nanofluids, which are nanoparticle suspensions in base fluid, facilitate heat transmission due to their improved thermal conductivity. Turbulators, which are inserts into fluid flow channels, disturb the flow, increasing turbulence and hence the heat transfer rate.

Lithium‐Phase Identification in an Industrial Lithium‐Ion‐Battery Recycling Slag: Implications for the Recovery of Lithium

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Recycling lithium‐ion batteries by smelting leads to lithium loss in the slag. Industrial battery slag is analyzed using chemical and mineralogical methods, revealing a complex composition with a consistent lithium content of 0.82%. Lithium is primarily found in β‐eucryptite, which contains 5.51% lithium.

Recent Advances and Strategies for Co‐Based Catalysts in Ammonia Decomposition for Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Ammonia decomposition is a critical process for the production of COx‐free hydrogen, which is essential for the sustainable energy solutions. This review discusses Co‐based catalysts for ammonia decomposition, categorizing them into supported and unsupported catalysts.
