Extreme Terahertz Nonlinearity of AlGaN/GaN‐Based Grating‐Gate Plasmonic Crystals

Plasmonic crystals based on grating‐gated 2D electron gas in AlGaN/GaN heterostructures provide a platform for strong light‐matter interaction. Pump‐probe experiments revealed strong terahertz nonlinearity leading to 45% increase in transmission at a fluence below 350 nJ cm−2.

Spherical and Aspherical Lenses for Boosting the Performance of Terahertz Imaging Systems

This study investigates the enhancement of terahertz (THz) detection through the terajet effect using mesoscale dielectric lenses of various geometries. Spherical, aspherical, and cubic polytetrafluoroethylene lenses are evaluated at 0.15 and 0.3 THz, demonstrating significant improvements in responsivity and noise reduction.

Pot‐Economical Synthesis of Fluorinated Pyrrolizinone Derivatives

Abstract A new family of fluorinated dihydropyrrolizinones has been synthesized starting from fluorinated enamino amides and aliphatic conjugated ketones. The reaction comprises a cross metathesis reaction followed by a tandem cycloaromatization/ enamine hydrolysis/ intramolecular Friedel‐Crafts alkylation sequence.
