Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Quantification of the Ecological Resilience of Drylands Using Digital Remote Sensing [PDF]
Drylands cover 41% of the terrestrial surface and support > 36% of the world's population. However, the magnitude of dryland degradation is unknown at regional and global spatial scales and at 15-30-yr temporal scales.

Strengthening economic resilience [PDF]
Considering the deep and long-lasting impact of severe recessions, such as the 2008-09 financial crisis, it is important that measures be taken to minimise the risk of such event. But in doing so the benefits need to be balanced against the potential costs in terms of lower average growth that some of the actions to lower vulnerabilities to bad events ...

A Sustainable Bio‐Based Epoxy Thermoset as a High‐Performance Alternative to BPA‐Based Resins
A rigid–flexible bio‐based epoxy network integrates soybean oil, lignin, and maleic anhydride to overcome the strength–toughness–sustainability trade‐off of conventional BPA epoxy. The thermoset delivers excellent performance as both a structural adhesive and a matrix for glass‐fabric composites, while enabling pH‐responsive degradation, environmental ...

Phosphorus‐rich MgP4 is introduced as a high capacity anode for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) via hybrid carbon matrix engineering. A sequential CNT/G assembly forms a conductive and mechanically robust network, delivering a high reversible capacity of 1386 mAh g−1 while stabilizing alloying reactions.

This study proposes a patch‐type tremor monitoring system based on high‐repeatable fibrous crack‐based strain sensor, capable of simultaneously measuring tremor in multiple locations such as thumb, index, and wrist. Through clinical trials involving Parkinson's disease and essential tremor patients, the proposed system demonstrates its potential as a ...

Think Again: Higher Elasticity of Substitution Increases Economic Resilience [PDF]
This paper shows that, counter-intuitively, a higher elasticity of substitution in model production function can lead to reduced economic resilience and larger vulnerability to shocks in production factor prices.
