Evidence-Based Analysis of Asset Profitability Drivers in the Automotive Sector

open access: yesInternational Journal of Financial Studies
This study investigates the key determinants of firm profitability in the global automotive sector, examining whether superior returns on assets (ROA) stem from operational efficiency, strategic leverage, or innovation intensity, and highlighting the ...

Economic Theory and the Financial Crisis

open access: yesProcedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2012
I want to probe in the role of the market in allocating resources in this very preliminary essay. One does not have to see study deeply to that the failure of markets for various kinds of derivative securities to perform properly is an essential element of the current financial crisis. Actually, financial crises are not a new phenomenon. The history of

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Finding predictors of corruption from European firm level survey data: a random forest approach

open access: yesJournal of Business Economics and Management
Corruption remains a significant constraint for firms in Europe, despite ongoing institutional reforms. The main goal of this paper is to obtain a list of firm-level variables that can serve as predictors of corruption perception using a machine ...

EDUCATION IN ECONOMIC THEORY

open access: yesEconomic Review, 2011
This paper aims to show the evolution of the role and importance of education in economic theory, especially in theoretical approaches to economic development after World War II. In order to find answers and to present a current issue why and how certain countries have made progress while others have regressed in the development process, many theories ...

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and
