Sodium Metal All‐Solid State Batteries (Na‐ASSBs) are enabled by the synthesis of the solid state electrolyte, NASICON (Na1+xZr2SixP3‐xO12), using carbide‐based precursor compounds (ZrC and SiC); resulting in dense, pure, and mechanically improved microstructure.

Adaptive Twisting Metamaterials

This work introduces torque‐controlled twisting metamaterials as a transformative platform for adaptive crashworthiness. Ultra‐durable cost‐effective information‐encoded anti‐counterfeiting labels are fabricated to secure semiconductor chips. A novel method is used to self‐assemble colloidal quantum wells (CQWs) into color bars. Information can be encoded spatially, spectrally, and opto‐spatially.
