Experimental Economics: Contributions, Recent Developments, and New Challenges [PDF]

open access: yes
Although economics has long been considered as a non-experimental science, the development of experimental economics and behavioral economics is amazingly rapid and affects most fields of research.

Magnetic Anisotropy Modulation via van der Waals Gap Engineering in 2D Ferromagnet Fe4GeTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a new route to control magnetic anisotropy in 2D ferromagnets via van der Waals gap engineering. In Fe4GeTe2, an interface‐induced vdW gap expansion is found to anomalously enhance in‐plane magnetic anisotropy while suppressing the spin reorientation transition.

ECONOMIC INTELLIGENCE - THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS [PDF]

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii Constantin Brâncuşi din Târgu Jiu : Seria Economie, 2014
Economic Intelligence (EI) may be a solution in knowledge management as involves collecting, evaluating, processing, analysis and dissemination of economic data within organizations. The ultimate goal of economic intelligence (EI) is to take advantage of this opportunity to develop and improve methods for identifying relevant information sources ...

Revival of classical political economy: An exposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The purpose of this paper is twofold: first, to discuss the theoretical foundations and policy implications of two of the offshoots of modern macroeconomics viz., supply-side economics and rational expectations; and second to evaluate the recent ...

A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...

Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction Reaction to Ammonia at Industrial‐Level Current Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review starts from the mechanism and theoretical basis of electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NO3−RR), and systematically summarizes and discusses the design strategies of industrial‐level current density catalysts. In addition, the progress of industrial‐level NO3−RR‐based electrolyzers, including flow reactor and membrane electrode ...

Development Economics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Political Economy, 2012
This paper is part of a larger project aiming at revitalizing "high development theory". It examines the roots of development economics, tracing it back to the seminal contributions of European emigres to the UK and the US in the 1930s. Developed mainly by German speaking economists it became very influential in the 1950s and 1960.

Bio‐Inspired Cascade Photocatalysis on Fe Single‐Atom Carbon Nitride Upcycles Plastic Wastes for Effective Acetic Acid Production

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a novel cascade photocatalysis concept using Fe single‐atom catalysts (Fe@C3N4 SAC) to directly upcycle plastics (PET, PP, PE, PVC) into valuable acetic acid at ambient conditions. Inspired by microbial degradation, the bifunctional cascade photocatalyst combines Fenton‐like oxidation and CO2 photoreduction, as validated by ...

Relationship Between Knowledge and Compliance With Safety Measures: Evidence From COVID‐19

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Compliance with health safety protocols is important for protecting public health, particularly in agricultural sectors where disease outbreaks can disrupt production and market access. Despite its economic significance, we know little about what drives protocol compliance.
