Unveiling Endotypes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Through Multiomic Analysis: Insights Into Cardiovascular and Renal Complications

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) shows clinical and molecular heterogeneity, and cardiovascular (CV) complications and lupus nephritis (LN) remain leading causes of morbidity and mortality. This study investigated whether omic profiling can reveal molecular endotypes linked to these outcomes.

Higher Complement C4 Gene Copy Number Constitutes a Shared Genetic Risk Factor for Giant Cell Arteritis and IgA Vasculitis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Low copy number (CN) of complement C4 isoforms and high CN of retroviral HERV‐K elements are known risk factors for many immune‐mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), often showing sex‐biased effects. Here, we assessed whether CN variation within the C4 gene contributes to giant cell arteritis (GCA) and IgA vasculitis (IgAV), two complex ...

MODERN INDICATORS DERIVED FROM VALUE CREATION AND DISCOUNTED [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Economic Science, 2013
The manner in which resources are allocated, the generation of cash through present resources and the allocation of new liquidities derive from a company's cost-benefit analysis, which is part of management control.

The role of editorial boards in shaping scholarly communication: A large‐scale mapping of their composition and structure

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Editorial boards play a central role in shaping scholarly communication by influencing what research is published and how disciplinary boundaries are defined. Despite their importance, large‐scale, systematic evidence on their composition and structure remains limited.

Decoding the Circular Economy Job Market in the EU: A Quantitative and Comparative Analysis

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The circular economy (CE) is increasingly promoted as a pathway to sustainable development, yet systematic evidence on the structure of the CE labor market remains limited. Little is known about how CE‐related job opportunities are distributed across countries, which job characteristics dominate this market, and how such patterns compare with ...

Scalable catalyst production process for oleate hydratase whole‐cell biocatalysis

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
This study establishes a scalable lactose‐induced fed‐batch fermentation for an Escherichia coli whole‐cell biocatalyst containing an oleate hydratase. Operation at a higher growth rate markedly increased biomass yields while maintaining catalyst activity and was demonstrated at 150 L scale.

Geometry‐Based Neural‐Network Prediction of Electron Localization Function Topology in Dense Hydrogen

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We present a machine‐learning framework that predicts the electron localization function (ELF) of dense hydrogen directly from atomic geometry, bypassing explicit electronic‐structure calculations. Trained on ab initio data for fluid hydrogen across multiple pressures, the model achieves high accuracy and reveals pressure‐dependent nonlocal ...

Assessment of Attainable Distances in Proteins by Through‐Space 19F–19F Couplings

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
De novo synthesized difluorinated tryptophan analogues are site‐specifically incorporated into Cyclophilin A (CypA). 19F–19F NOESY build‐up experiments are recorded for each labeled protein, and the distances derived from cross‐relaxation rates are compared to reference distances.

Impact of Trace Water on the Macroscopic Activity of Commercial Ammonia Cracking Catalysts Under Process‐Relevant Conditions

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This study evaluates how small water impurities—typical in ammonia cracking feedstock—affect catalyst performance at elevated pressures and temperatures. By decoupling permanent degradation from reversible inhibition, the findings highlight trace water as a significant factor for reliable catalyst screening and industrial ammonia cracking scale‐up ...

Clinical Significance of Acute Kidney Injury in Idiosyncratic Drug‐Induced Liver Injury: A Multicentric Propensity Scores Matched Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Clinical significance of acute kidney injury in idiosyncratic drug‐induced liver injury: a multicentric propensity scores matched study. Evidence about the role of acute kidney injury (AKI) in idiosyncratic drug‐induced liver injury (DILI) is still scarce.
