An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

The Impact of Mangrove Degradation and Restoration on Total Ecosystem Carbon Stocks
Abstract Mangroves play an important role in carbon cycling and are receiving considerable attention to restore degraded areas. Accelerated Natural Regeneration of Mangrove (ANRM) is an approach practiced in Anawilundawa Wetland Ramsar Sanctuary in Sri Lanka since 2019 to restore mangroves in abandoned shrimp ponds ...

Correcting the apparent priming effect resolves systematic biases in Asian rice fertilizer nitrogen accounting. Net soil retention drops below 7%, while 48% of fertilizer escapes, inflicting US$98.53 billion in annual reactive‐nitrogen damages. High‐resolution mapping uncovers N‐risk archetypes across 42% of the rice area, delivering a spatially ...

Biomass and carbon stocks in mangrove ecosystems of Kerala, southwest coast of India
Background Mangroves are important tropical carbon sinks, and their role in mitigating climate change is well documented across the globe. However, the ecosystem carbon stocks in the mangroves of India have not been studied comprehensively.

P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

Ecosystem Carbon Stock of Mangroves at the Batticaloa Lagoon, Sri Lanka
Mangroves play an important role in sequestering organic carbon in tropical and subtropical coastal areas, accounting up to 15% of the total carbon deposited in coastal sediments. Sequestered organic carbon occurs both in standing plant biomass, as well as in the below ground root biomass and mangrove soils.

Hemp Cultivation and Crop Diversification: Implications for Ecosystem Services in Kentucky
ABSTRACT This study examines the ecosystem benefits of expanding hemp cultivation by assessing its impact on crop diversity. Using scenario‐based simulations and fixed‐effect panel regressions with county‐level data in Kentucky, we find that increased hemp acreage tends to enhance crop diversity, improving water quality and bird diversity.
